About the Opportunity:
The Associate Director of Project Management and Administration leads a team responsible for supporting overall general administration and operation for Enrollment Management including the execution of creative, digital and technological work that drives a broad portfolio of learning products. The Project Management Team works closely with EM leadership to support strategic, technology & process evolution projects while supporting the Customer Experience (CX) Team which supports the Enrollment Management department by conceiving, producing and managing/tracking marketing assets across the lifecycle, for both digital and offline channels. This role also has oversight and responsibility for effectiveness for operations within Enrollment Management, including but not limited to overseeing budgets, contracts and vendor management.

The Associate director will As Associate Director of Project Management and Administration, you will bring demonstrable experience managing a team that is responsible for the successful execution of a range of small to large interdisciplinary projects. You will be responsible for defining technology/project management platforms, workflows and processes by which various partner teams across the full unit engage the CX Team, ensuring adherence to schedules along with adequate reporting, budget and resource management clarity. You will mentor and train a team of project managers in best practices, helping them to achieve realistic project scope documents and supporting schedules that result in high quality work which stays in budget, on brand, and on schedule.

You will bring to the team personal characteristics that make you a strong leader, effective communicator, skilled negotiator, proactive planner and possess the ability to remain a beacon of calm within a high-performance digital marketing team. You will be a teacher and a student able to champion and mentor your team while being open to new opportunities to learn. You will be process driven and flexible to evolving business needs.

Responsibilities:
The Associate Director is expected to work effectively and build partnerships in a matrix organization, collaborating across Enrollment Management units and working closely with the Office of Provost, Office of Chancellor, University Registrar, Office of general counsel, colleges and college deans, regional campuses, and campus Deans, Student Financial Services, online learning and other campus departments in executing overall goals for the E.M. unit and professional programs. The Associate director of Project Management and Administration will join a management team including Creative, Technology, Marketing and Sales and reports to the AVP of Enrollment Management. The Director will have management oversite of a five-person team.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or related field along with 7-10 years of project management experience.

  • Advanced degree preferred and/or strong demonstration of an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional training in project management.

  • Able to lead cross functionally with a strong understanding of the steps and processes involved in managing and completing a wide variety of customer experience management projects (i.e., print, web, email, events, video) while maintaining a sense of operational priorities.

  • Experience managing projects within teams responsible for creating complex cross-channel marketing campaigns including marketing, technology, automation software, and more.

  • Keen knowledge of operations, administration, and efficient process development.

  • Experience implementing and managing project management and resourcing tools. Workfront experience a plus.

  • Proven track record of training, supervising and mentoring direct reports.

  • Ability to determine and report priorities/metrics to senior management.

  • Flexible and proactive, with positive attitude, highly self-motivated, and calm under pressure.

  • Can work independently and is able to prioritize.

  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills. Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
