Position Summary:
The Classroom to Career Hub (C2 Hub) is MSU Denver's center for career preparation and student success. The C2 Hub has three pillars: Student Success and Career Engagement, Industry Partnerships, and Faculty Engagement. The Faculty Engagement Team is looking for a student employee to assist in special projects and work closely with the three professional staff members on the team. Projects include supporting events, advertising, tracking attendance, providing input on initiatives, conducting research, and more!
The successful candidate should be organized, take initiative, complete projects in a timely manner, and be ready to ask questions as needed. The Faculty Engagement Team is looking for a student who is interested in building their career-readiness skills and would like to be part of our dynamic team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Office tasks in a virtual environment (organizing, emailing)
Maintain databases/spreadsheets on Microsoft Word and Excel and on Career Link
Create Qualtrics surveys and analyze data from Qualtrics survey software
Event advertising, preparations, management, and data tracking
Conduct interviews/focus group with students to find out how theyd like faculty to support them in their career path and write a report
Speak with students and faculty to find out career preparation and curricular integration success stories
Support the Director for Faculty Engagement, the Career Specialist CLAS Liaison and Service Learning Specialist in their programming and projects
Possible opportunities for:
Creativity and design (marketing, creating social media posts, etc)
Public speaking (visiting classes to promote events, presenting to the team)
Program or curriculum design (co-develop career development programming)
Required Qualifications:
Current MSU Denver student taking at least 6 credits per semester
Independent worker and self-starter
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Adaptable and flexible thinker
Enjoys collaborating with staff, students, and faculty
