JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Administrative Project Manager manages complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives for the College of Dentistry (COD). This position requires the ability to collect, manage, and analyze educational data, ensure completion of accreditation-related initiatives, prepare reports for senior leadership, and support senior leadership in executing strategic initiatives. The Administrative Project Manager oversees all facets of assigned projects, including setting deadlines, reviewing progress, and evaluating results.


Responsibilities
  1. Develops systems (solutions) to systemically collect, analyze, and track data in the COD, including but not limited to competency data, assessment of student learning outcomes, course evaluation data, and curriculum management.
  2. Prepares reports for UT Health Science Center administration and accrediting bodies and agencies.
  3. Assists Deans and Chairs in documenting compliance with various assessment/accreditation standards for continuous improvement on innovative practices and solutions.
  4. Serves as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team alignment.
  5. Responds to requests for information from legislative/government officials, donors, and partnering organizations.
  6. Coordinates ongoing reports to the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) for all programs of the COD.
  7. Creates a central database of all reports and correspondence to CODA.
  8. Develops detailed budgets and reports on expenses related to personnel, equipment, materials, and other relevant resources.
  9. Tracks and analyzes project expenditures against the budget, adjusting as needed, and reports changes to COD leadership.
  10. Performs other duties as required.



Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of higher education experience; OR an equivalent of education and related work experience to equal six (6) years.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to supervise and direct staff members, coordinate schedules and projects, and manage a busy office environment.
  • Knowledge of higher education administration, specifically within a College of Dentistry.
  • Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and written & verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make independent decisions, and independently plan and prioritize.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Learning Management System (Blackboard Ultra).

WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings. May require occasional overnight travel.
