About the Position:

The College of Business and Economics (CBE) is committed to the guiding themes of program quality, balancing theory and practice and expanding our outreach and visibility. The office of Dean College of Business and Economics is seeking an exceptional individual to join the team as the Project Management and Operations Specialist (Administrative Analyst/Specialist-Non-Exempt). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under the general supervision of the Associate Deans, the Project Management and Operations Specialist provides complex administrative support on various college projects, including vice chair meetings, management of Part-Time Lecturer appointments, academic programs and student success-related projects. Serves as the primary contact for management, faculty, and staff related facility projects. Manages the facility/space related projects for the College (including facilities construction, furnishing and facilities maintenance projects). Responsible for working with external vendors, internal departments, campus Facilities and IT to coordinate any College facility-related projects. Works closely with Contract & Procurement division to manage any new and continuing contract, including closely monitoring vendor RFP process, contracts and invoice approval. Ensures the projects are satisfactorily completed in accordance with policies and procedures. Assists the Associate Deans in assessing the College's space utilization and needs and develops proposals for facility enhancements. Serves as Safety Coordinator for CBE to ensure compliance with any required safety rules as specified by the University. Manages and coordinates the schedule of conference rooms and other building spaces. Maintains an inventory of furniture for the Dean's suite. In consultation with the senior budget analyst and Associate Deans, manages fiscal contracts for the College. Coordinates the overall College Curriculum Committees meetings schedule and attendance, takes meeting minutes, and prepares the supporting materials. Works closely with the Associate Deans on administrative tasks such as managing meeting calendars, processing travel documents, invoices and P-Card reconciliation. Works with the college development team and the Assistant to the Dean to coordinate internal and outreach events. Other duties as assigned.


Essential Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs. Working knowledge of the general practices, program or administrative specialty. Basic knowledge of and the ability to apply fundamental concepts. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to learn, interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures relating to and impacting the applicable program, organizational unit or administrative specialty. Knowledge of and the ability to apply basic methods and procedures used for research and statistical analysis. Ability to analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistical techniques. Ability to make independent decisions, exercise sound judgment, handle multiple priorities, and organize and plan work assignments. Ability to compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialty. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.


Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of experience in project management or related experience. Masters degree from an accredited college or University in Business.
