About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Associate Director, SVP Projects and Leadership Relations Officer, the Assistant Director for SVP Projects and Leadership Advancement will support the Office of the Senior Vice President through project management, relationship management, communication, and special projects.

Responsibilities:
Specifically, they are responsible for:

1. Project Management: manage various projects and special initiatives led by the Office of the Senior Vice President in support of the major goals of the SVP. Track, anticipate needs, and drive next steps to keep projects and initiatives of the SVP and team moving forward. This will include working with colleagues in Advancement, throughout the university, and externally to ensure effective, high-quality, and timely execution of projects and events. Examples include fundraising, Board of Trustees, correspondence, and major initiatives such as Women Who Empower programming, leadership summits, and other strategic, global programming.
2. Relationship Management: act as liaison between the SVP, President's Office, members of the Board of Trustees, senior leadership team members, Advancement staff, high-level prospects and donors, corporations and foundations, and faculty and staff across the university to help drive strategic university relationships and initiatives forward.
3. Communication: assist with drafting and reviewing correspondence to internal and external audiences on behalf of the SVP. Prepare VIP briefings for meetings or Board and Committee meetings as necessary. Collaborate with colleagues to obtain research and background information.
4. Special Projects: lead various special projects and initiatives on behalf of the SVP team, such as presidential-level speaker series, innovation awards, etc.

The Assistant Director must possess an extraordinary level of professionalism at all times. They must be highly skilled at time management, project management, and verbal and written communication. They must be an innovative and collaborate self-starter. They must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and possess high levels of customer service and professionalism.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least 4-6 years of experience required, preferably in higher education. Experience managing student workers or volunteers preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, are critical. Must be extremely detail-oriented, able to work independently, and prioritize work to meet expectations and deadlines. Must have demonstrated ability to multitask. Strong project management and budget management skills are preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and possess high levels of customer service and professionalism, particularly in stressful situations. Must be available for evening/weekend hours and able to travel as needed.
