Position Summary

Primary responsibility of this position is focused on planning, development, support and execution of projects, programming and events for the Entrepreneurship@DU team at the Daniels College of Business. The position will work closely with team members to advance the agenda of providing entrepreneurship awareness and resources and enhancing the E@DU brand reputation for students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members. This includes day-to-day management of E@DU spaces, marketing and events, as well as budget management, faculty onboarding and other special projects as assigned.

This is a part-time, non-benefited, temporary position expected to work up to 20 hours per week for roughly 15 weeks (mid-October to mid-February).

Essential Functions

Marketing
  • Actively monitor multiple forms of marketing and communications simultaneously, including but not limited to the monthly newsletter, upcoming events, program awareness and tangible materials and swag.
  • Create materials for events including graphics, registration page, banners and flyers.
  • Build and publish events and marketing materials on website and throughout the University's communication channels including campus newsletters, calendars, digital boards and social media sites.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns, including event registrations, event reminders, and other special communications.
  • Work with Marketing Department to manage development and creation of specialized marketing projects and materials.
  • Create, order and manage swag items and other giveaways.
  • Actively contribute to the spread of brand awareness by expanding marketing efforts and opportunities.

Program Management
  • Execute program and event logistics and support, including but not limited to space reservations, catering coordination, facilities requests, AV/technology setup and outside vendor and guest coordination.
  • Administer and contribute to the development, production and distribution of monthly newsletter, including but not limited to content suggestions, serving as project manager and coordinating the work (and payment) on internal resources and third parties/vendors responsible for deliverables.
  • Ensure coworking space, office space and makerspaces are successfully functioning and well-supplied.
  • Manage Women's Entrepreneurship Program by creating events, programs and activities that inspire, encourage and support female entrepreneurs.

Human Resources
  • Work with new adjunct faculty, TAs, GAs and work study students to successfully hire and guide through the University's onboarding process.
  • Manage student timecards and approvals. Update and post job descriptions as new unit roles become available.

Finance
  • Manage program budget and finances including vendor invoices and p-card payments, new vendor set-up, and budget transfers and updates.
  • Work with grant recipients to manage and track funding. Work with student award winners to distribute funds.

Other
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Entrepreneurship@DU.
  • Attend required and/or beneficial meetings and trainings.
  • Continuously learn and work to improve job function knowledge.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of professional experience.
  • May work occasional evenings and weekends

Work Schedule

Flexible schedule during business hours. Will discuss set hours upon hire. Expected to work up to 20 hours per week.

Hourly Range

The hourly range for the position is $25.00 - $30.00.
