This is a grant-supported, full-time position subject to the continued availability of funding throughout the five-year project period.


Clackamas Community College (CCC) has a long-standing history of collective decision-making and does so with a central goal in mind - students must come first. Clackamas is a comprehensive community college in the Portland Oregon metro area that provides transfer and career technical degrees, certificates and programs, community education classes, developmental education, and training programs for business and industry. Clackamas is currently in year three of a five-to-seven year implementation of a guided pathways model for ensuring student success. In conjunction with the college President, this position will work directly with the Dean of the Academic Foundations and Connections (AFaC) division. Clackamas is both entrepreneurial and strategic in its approach to developing and implementing processes, policies, and infrastructures that enhance the student experience. The Title III Project Director/Guided Pathways Transitions Coordinator, will play a pivotal role in continuing these efforts through our Title III grant. PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Title III Project Director/Guided Pathways Transitions Coordinator is primarily responsible for the administration and implementation of CCC's Prepare to Learn and Navigate to Success (PLAN) Title III-supported program. PLAN includes: establishing effective structures and processes to implement the five-year Title III grant program focused on expanding Guided Pathways strategies; establishing structured onboarding activities prior to start of the first day for newly admitted students with assigned personnel for specific student populations (e.g., undecided, first generation, low socio-economic status); restructure/enhance the current Peer Assistant program; establish weekly, term-long Start Lab workshops to provide assistance with onboarding activities (e.g. registration, learning CCC's Learning Management System (Moodle), and other systems), as well as key pre-first day understanding of how college works; and expand First Year Experience (FYE) courses for all degree and certificate seeking students.
